The producer of the film found an article about this homeless couple and thought it was a beautiful story. He thought of me and asked me if I wanted to direct the film
What was the biggest challenge making the film – artistically as well as technically?
The editing was the most challenging part as the film is almost built by one single scene – the wedding.
Why did you choose this specific visual and narrative approach for your film?
I wanted the film to be beautifully shot in a romantic style, to portray homeless people in another way that you usually see.
What was the most important thing you learned from the people you’re describing in your film?
To keep on struggling for love

I just want them to remember Maria and Anders expressions in their faces when they get married.
Which contemporary Nordic documentary film has made the biggest impression on you?
I saw one recently that I liked » The Ballroom Dancer» – a danish production
What’s your next documentary about and why have you chosen this subject?
I’m now making a film about two of the worlds best dancers – Martha and Niki. The film portrays the dancing duo alongside the street culture that is growing stronger all over the world. Hip hop has always been dominated by men and finally to women are making it. Martha and Niki are the first females in history to win The World Championship of Hip Hop. In the film we get to follow their struggle to gain recognition, to achive their goals and dreams.
If you could change one thing about the conditions of making documentaries in the Nordic countries, what would it be?
I would like to get more documentaries to be screened on Cinema.
