Fem norske dokumentarer er tatt ut til årets CPH:DOX: War of Art, Vinterens lengsel, Hvor man vender tilbake, For vi er gutta og En gang Aurora.

Ingen norske dokumentarer er tatt ut til den internasjonale hovedkonkurransen under CPH:DOX, men fem deltar i sideprogrammene. Det meste celebre innslaget under årets festival blir utvilsomt Ai Weiwei som deltar med Human Flow – et nytt kapittel i hans fokus på den pågående globale flyktningekrisen.

Flere av de norske har deltatt på flere norske festivaler, og noen har allerede hatt ordinær premiere her hjemme, som For vi er gutta (kino) og En gang Aurora (NRK). Det blir også en spesialvisning av Emil og Joachim Triers dokumentar Den andre Munch med Karl Ove Knausgård. Hele CHP:DOX-programmet kan skilte med 66 titler og 43 verdenspremierer. 45 prosent av filmene har kvinnelig regissør.
