I 2006 la Writers Guild of America ut en liste med hva de mente er de 101 beste filmmanusene som er skrevet. Nå har de lagt ut en ny liste med de 101 best skrevne tv-serie-manusene. Listen er basert på avstemning på nettet blant medlemmene av WGA og gjenspeiler ikke overraskende den nye gullalderen innen tv-drama med Sopranos på topp.
«At their core, all of these wonderful series began with the words of the writers who created them and were sustained by the writers who joined their staffs or worked on individual episodes,» sier WGA-lederne Chris Keyser og Michael Winship i forbindelse med publiseringen av listen. «This list is not only a tribute to great TV, it is a dedication to all writers who devote their hearts and minds to advancing their craft.»
