Godards nye film

Nybølgeregissøren Jean-Luc Godard, som fyller 79 senere i år, har alltid vært veldig produktiv (sjekk ut filmorgrafien på IMDB!). Neste år er han klar med ny film, Socialism – med blant annet Patti Smith! Tidligere i år skrev Screen at “Jean-Luc Godard is currently shooting Socialism, which is being billed as a symphony in three movements and mixes an international set of characters on a cruise ship including a Moscow policeman, a war criminal of unknown origins, a French philosopher, an American singer (played by Patti Smith), a Palestinian ambassador and a former double agent.” Det er Wild Bunch som produserer Socialism. Filmen skal være ferdig til neste års Cannes film festival. Socialism virker som en krevende, utfordrende og eksperimentell film. Ta en titt på den uoffisielle, franske traileren:

Ryktene vil ha det til at Godard skal filmatisere holocaust-boken The Lost: A Search for Six of Six Million. Slik beskriver Wikipedia boken: The Lost tells of Mendelsohn’s world-wide travels in search of details about the lives and fates of a maternal great-uncle, Samuel (Shmiel) Jäger, his wife, Ester, and their four daughters who lived in the Polish town of Bolechow, and were killed during the Nazi occupation.”
